Following a successful career in advertising and marketing (American Express, Doyle Dane Bernbach Advertising) Adele moved to Blackheath with her husband Bob and one year old daughter in 1991, purchasing the Richardson & Wrench office. Not long after the birth of their twins, Adele joined Bob in the office, originally working in Property Management and then moving to her real passion – sales. Adele has won many awards throughout the years including no 1 saleswoman in the R&W network nationally.
Adele is passionate about Blackheath and is committed to helping along Blackheath’s reputation as the place to be in the Blue Mountains. Over the years Adele has held committee positions at Kookaburra Kindergarten and the Horticultural Society, but of late has immersed herself in her spare time as founding member and convenor of the Blackheath Streetscape Group, and founding member of the Blackheath Highway Action Group (BAG), and regularly represents Blackheath as spokesperson for the Blackheath Alliance Group (a combined group of the major town groups). In the last 12 years the Streetscape Group has successfully carried out many plantings around the town, and Adele has just finished the renovation (inside and out) of the Jenny Kee toilets in the town centre through a combination of state and council grant funding and community donation. Her commitment to voluntary work for the town was recognized with the Rotary award for Community Service.
Along with a deep pleasure in the company of family and friends, Adele has a passion for photography, gardening and cooking, regularly combining all four in harvest dinners with friends.
