With a fantastic beach, sprawling parklands, and a racecourse on its doorstep, Randwick will make you want to ‘giddy up!’
This large residential suburb lives right next to the famous Randwick Racecourse and the beautiful wide spaces of Centennial Park. A handy 15 minutes into city, and awesome five minutes to the beach, it’s an area close enough to city to feel connected, but not too close to get frazzled.
Head to Belmore Road for amenities, where you’ll find major two shopping centres and an Asian supermarket. Nearby Moore Park showcases The Entertainment Quarter village markets on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and The Spot is the place to be for a whole host of restaurants and entertainment.
Whilst there is no train station in Randwick, there is a good bus network that gets you from A to B. There are ample public and private schools in the area, as well as The University of New South Wales and Sydney Institute of TAFE. When, or if, an emergency arises, you know you’re safe hands with a 3 major hospitals all within arm’s reach.
If you love being just hop, skip and jump away from the city, and can cool off at the beach whenever you please, you’ll be hard pressed to ignore Randwick and its laid back beat.
