With the Sunshine Coast just to the north and Brisbane to its south, Caboolture, Brisbane’s northern-most suburb, is now one of the state’s biggest growth centres.
This once sleepy town popular with farmers and retirees, has experienced amazing growth over the last 40 years. It has a city train line that makes commuting to Brisbane a breeze and a second railway line that links to Gympie and Nambour, making Caboolture an easy to access hot spot.
Businesses have been quick to jump on board and be part of Cabooluture’s growing action, with many shopping complexes, homemaker centres and hardware stores setting up shop in its outer-suburbs.
Whilst the city centre is still relatively modest with the typical shops, council buildings and town square. The larger shopping centres are positioned just out of town in Morayfield, which also houses the industrial area.
You’ll find many wonderful ways to kick-back with lots of things to do in Caboolutre. Taste test homemade jams at the Country Markets, soak up the past in the Caboolture Historical Village, stop by the Abbey Museum of Art and Archaeology, take a drive to the beautiful Glasshouse Mountains, or take advantage of Moreton Bay’s great boating and fishing activities, or the magnificent surf beaches of the Sunshine Coast.
With families flocking to the area, schools and family friendly facilities are high in demand with schools, day care centres and more being added to developing parts of the area and surrounding areas to keep up with demand.
