Padstow

Lifestyle

A tight knit community, generous sized blocks and a central location, make Padstow a perfect place for those looking for an area with potential.

Positioned 22kms south west of Sydney, this vibrant suburb is surrounded by Bankstown in the south, Salt Pan Creek to its east and Parramatta, 20 minutes away to the north.

The leafy reserve around Salt Pan Creek is the focus for plenty of sporting activity on the weekends. You can meander through walking trails, throw snags on the BBQ, or just relax and admire native wildlife along the tranquil waters of the creek.

The intersection of Howard Road and Padstow Parade is the main shopping hub. Here you’ll find a collection of cafes, eateries and grocery stores, plus the local library and train station. There are three local primary schools in the area, with a choice of high schools in neighbouring suburbs.

With excellent connectivity to the city, plenty of parklands and room to move it’s easy to see why Padstow appeals to many.

People

Many Padstow locals grew up in the area, which makes for an eclectic mix of age groups.

There is however, also a young set of residents emerging, as newly independent youth and young couples invest in their first homes, or branch out from the nest to rent.

Homes

The great Australian dream is still do-able in Padstow. Here you can still secure a home with both a front and back yard nestled in a wide street.

You also have new multi-level apartment blocks starting to pop up, especially in the streets surrounding the train station.
